13 weeks.

how far? 13 weeks & 3 days (coming up on my 4th month!)

size of baby? a peach.

weight gain? none so far.

maternity clothes? actually the shirt in these pictures is my first "maternity" labeled shirt. it was 11 dollars, so doable! i'm sure i will be purchasing some bigger pants very soon. any type of pressure on my stomach makes me sick!

sleep? during this first trimester i have been going to bed around 9 or 10 every night, which is so not like me.. i'm a night owl! however staying asleep the whole night has gotten harder & harder. going to the bathroom in the middle of the night kills me. once i'm up i never fall back asleep!

best moment of the week? seeing an actual bump growing! its been hard to believe that i'm actually pregnant up until now. the bigger my belly gets the more realistic it is to me! oh & we bought a house! we are officially home owners. (more on that coming soon...)

worst moment of the week? tyler crashing my car in to a pole & my hormones combined in to one drastic moment. it was a scary sight to say the least!

happy or moody? i would call it emotional… tyler would definitely call it moody/dramatic. haha!

food cravings? cheese cheese & more cheese. i bought a huge block of sharp cheddar & ate the entire thing in one day. slice by slice it was gone. tyler was so confused!

food aversions? chicken & coca cola. i want to throw up even thinking about it. coke was my go to drink once a day before i was pregnant. my taste buds are so off it doesn't even appeal to me anymore! can you say major withdrawals? my migraines are the worst they've ever been!

gender? hoping to find out in the next couple weeks! tyler & i both think a girl. but we'll see!

movement? nope!

symptoms? surprisingly, i haven't been too sick. i've maybe thrown up a total of 5 times. for the first little while no food sounded good, but if i didn't eat i would get nauseous. it was a constant battle! i get a migraine probably 5-6 times a week. my back pain is pretty bad too, especially when i'm on my feet all day doing hair. i come home in need of a back rub!

SURPRISE! 

tyler & i are so so happy to finally be sharing the news to everyone! keeping such a huge secret absolutely killed me.  

our first reaction was a little confused, & we weren't totally sold on believing that it was actually happening. i remember looking at ty saying, "babe it can't be true! let's go buy more tests right now!" after buying three more tests, (i wouldn't let him buy the cheap walmart brand tests either. they had to be the real deal!) with a positive result, that's when the news sunk in... we're going to be parents! i'm finally going to be a mom! 

for years & years this has been my dream. anyone who knows me thought for sure within the first year of marriage i would be pregnant! my poor husband had to listen to me begging every. single. day. 

i wouldn't trade this timing for anything, it always works out just perfectly. i'm grateful we had a year to grow & spend time together just as a couple. i truly believe we needed that time to prepare ourselves for this next step in our lives.

cruisin' with my babe!

first off let me just start by saying; what an ADVENTURE!

we had a few bumps getting to the ship in fort lauderdale florida, but don't those always make for the best memories? from tyler's car breaking down an hour into our drive to vegas, packing a 40 pound suitcase for a week trip.. (nearly impossible!) realizing our airplane's seats did not recline, & waiting over seven hours to get on the ship. who knew it would be so hard to go on vacation? not me! on a happier note...

five nights & six days of pure bliss with my husband! seriously. i love our love so so much. i loved spending a week alone just the two of us. eating way too much food, relaxing, laughing, & exploring. 

day one: AT SEA. it consisted of getting familiar with our boat, soaking in some rays, & tons of ice cream!

day two: AT SEA. we did a whole lot of catching up on our sleep & laying out. i've never seen tyler so ecstatic after seeing that the cruise buffet served mashed potatoes all day. i'm not kidding when i say he ate them for every breakfast, lunch & dinner! it was formal evening that night which meant we got to dress up all fancy & go to a masquerade show!

day three: ROATAN - HONDURAS. all i can say is wow. i will go back here again if i ever get the chance to. we got off the ship & found a random tour guide to take us around the island & drop us off at a private beach. i was a little skeptical at first jumping into a car with a stranger... but it ended up working out so perfectly! the water was crystal clear & warmer than any beach i've ever felt. we went snorkeling where the reef was alive. the fishes were swimming right to us!

day four: COZUMEL - MEXICO. a cloudy but very humid day. we went to another private beach that had water slides & fun little shops to walk around in. ty spoke spanish to everyone we came in contact with, i mean is there anything sexier? we ate some questionable tacos from a taco truck on the side of the road. we weren't quite sure where the "beef" came from, but all in all we loved it! 

day five: AT SEA. our last day… it went by too fast! i think tyler was a little excited that i would no longer be carrying around a huge camera anymore. we're already wanting to book another cruise. we're convinced that we're going to be cruise junkies when we're older.
