happy times.

we love our married friends & trying to be crafty.
this past weekend i got to spend some time with one of my closest friends hunter.
she designed my blog so naturally, i do her hair.
even if it meant washing her hair in the sink we bonded & laughed, & that's all that matters.
soul sisters for lifeeee.

there's nothing i love more then when life starts to fall in to place & my stress level decreases a whole lot. i truly believe that i've been given so many trials this past year for a reason. although i will never understand why life is sometimes unfair, i'm grateful for the good & the bad. one day i'll look back & laugh, right?

thank heavens for my sweetheart & his ability to keep pushing.
(oh, & for letting me go to disneyland last minute whoo!)

halloween festivities.

tonight we went to the witchfest at gardner village with my cute siblings.
thankfully tyler gets off work early on wednesday's so i usually try to plan something fun!

the witch in the port a potty... gross!
i just want to take him home forever.

well the day has finally come, I GOT A JOB! after weeks of praying, confusion, & why's... i'm proud to say i will finally be working in a salon.

since being moved home in utah i've probably applied at thirty places, with the feeling in my gut knowing i wasn't supposed to work there. yes, there were many emotional days when your husband goes off to work & you sit at home feeling hopeless. seeing the money in our bank account slowly decrease & knowing that i could be contributing to the financial situation but there was nothing i could do. the sacrifices my husband does for us on a daily basis truly amazes me. going to school full time & working to pay our bills without one complaint. he continued to stay positive & told me to have faith that it'll all work out. i really don't know what i'd do with out him & his patience, he sure does keep me going & on my feet!

where has the time gone?

six months ago today, i married my best friend in the draper temple for time & all eternity. wait, what?? i feel as though it was just yesterday tyler & i were dating. what an adventure it has been!

"it is so rewarding to be married. marriage is wonderful. in time you begin to think alike and have the same ideas and impressions. you have times when you are extremely happy, times of testing, and times of trial, but the lord guides you through all of those growth experiences together." -richard g. scott

he couldn't have said it better.

(wishing the iphone 5s would magically appear, hence the poor quality photo)

when i asked tyler last week how he wanted to celebrate our half year anni, i got a response that went something like this.. "to me our six month is just like the seventh or eighth or even fifth!" but i insisted, there's nothing wrong with too many anniversary's.

so our day consisted of sleeping in until eleven, going to park city for the day, eating at texas roadhouse, a little shopping, & a redbox.

here's to another week of work, school, & watching lots of netflix.

black & white.

it wasn't shortly after meeting tyler that i realized him & i are often attracted to the same things. decorating our home was a breeze. he wanted modern, & i wanted simple. i can finally say our tv room is finished. as for the rest of our home... not so much haha! oh & if anyone is wondering, ikea is basically our second home. we have fallen in love with that place these past couple weeks of living back in utah!

i've also learned that my desire to cook hasn't changed.. (sorry ty!) i'm still hoping that it'll just come to me one day, although grocery shopping at target is becoming an addiction. i recently got the cartwheel app which helps me justify why i feel the need to buy unnecessary groceries. i tell ty it was 5% off so it saved me some money, unfortunately tyler is a math whiz & informs me i saved only 10 cents. oops! but hey, it's kind of fun & that's all that matters, right?

on a side note:
tyler & i started to read the book of mormon this past week, we're reading from start to finish! it's amazing to me how big of an affect it has had on our marriage already! we feel so much closer to each other & our days just tend to go better when we don't forget to read. we'll cross our fingers that we'll continue to make it a habit before falling asleep.
